We are pleased to announce the availability of Open Hebrew Bible (OHB) this 13 December 2018. This is courtesy of Eliran Wong, the module creator (https://github.com/eliranwong/OpenHebrewBible).
This project is a counterpart to our Open Greek New Testament Project.
Fruits of both Open Greek New Testament Project and Open Hebrew Hebrew Project will be integrated together in a forthcoming site Marvel.bible.
The project aims to:
- align Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (Amstelodamensis) [BHS A] with Westminster Leningrad Codex [WLC]
- build bridges between 3 major open-licensed projects on Hebrew Bible:
- ETCBC (Hebrew text BHSA, linguitic annotations, morphology, etc.)
- OpenScriptures (Hebrew text WLC, Strong's numbers, morphology, etc.)
- Berean.bible (interlinear translation, Berean Study Bible, etc.)
- work out division of paragraphs and poetic lines in the text of BHS.
- Resulting data will be presented in an upcoming site https://Marvel.bible

- OpenHB.bbl.mybible - Open Hebrew Interlinear Bible (OHB).
Each word entry contains the following:
- Pointed Hebrew word
- Strong's number - Dictionary is included (please see Open Hebrew Bible Lexicon below)
- BHS/ETCBC Morphology code with lemma
- Transliteration - can be tapped to show detailed information about the Hebrew word (instead of using the Hebrew for the dictionary link, the transliteration was used so that it will not conflict with the MySword Deluxe version feature Strong's links on text which collapses the Strong's number and morphology into one link via the Hebrew word).
- Pronunciation
- English gloss
- Berean Study Bible translation
- OpenHB-LA.bbl.mybible - Open Hebrew Bible Linguistic Annotations (OHBla).
The following are the features:
- Each Clause is enclosed in a violet box where the top entry includes the clause level in circles, clause number (both are links to Clause information), clause type and kind. The clause number may be followed by an @ sign then the linked clause.
- Each Phrase is enclosed in a gray box where the top entry shows the type of phrase followed by the function.
- Each Word is enclosed in an orange box which includes the Hebrew word which is linked to dictionary entry for the Word details and the English gloss.
- OpenHBa.bbl.mybible - Open Hebrew Bible (OHBa).
- Clause division is represented by a highlight when a word within the clause is tapped (the tapped word itself has a different highlight).
- Detailed information is shown in a dictionary entry when a word is tapped.
- OpenHB-Parallel.bbl.mybible - Open Hebrew Parallel Bible (OHBpar). This module is similar to OHBa above with Parallel Translations below each verse.
- Clause division is represented by a highlight when a Hebrew word within the clause is tapped (the tapped word itself has a different highlight).
- Detailed information is shown in a dictionary entry when a Hebrew word is tapped.
- The BHS, BSB and LEB translations are presented in boxes per clause division.
- OpenHB-NET.bbl.mybible - Open Hebrew Bible + The NET Bible® verse text (no Notes) - 2nd Edition; Old Testament (OHBnet).
- Clause division is represented by a line break, with each clause starts with a symbol °.
- Clause division is represented also by a highlight when a Hebrew word within the clause is tapped (the tapped word itself has a different highlight).
- Detailed information is shown in a dictionary entry when a Hebrew word is tapped.
- OpenHBd.dct.mybible - Open Hebrew Bible dictionary (OHBd) containing detailed information for each Hebrew word:
- ETCBC Clause information with BHS, BSB and LEB clauses.
- Word information:
- Pointed, Consonantal, Language, Transliteration, Pronunciation
